A recap

Damn.  I just wrote a blog post and it got deleted.

Discussion of pre-partum depression will have to come later.

Those of you who are not related to me proceed with caution--I've got a whole month of pictures here going up so that even if my kids don't understand what their mom was thinking they'll know we were still having a good time (in between taking rests to keep my legs elevated because the veriscose vein situation is out of control over here--even when I'm wearing compression hose.  You read that right. I'm wearing compression hose every day in the stinking hot and humid weather.  If that isn't enough reason to be depressed I don't know what is.)

My parents were here to visit which was a dream. My dad fixed things around the house and my mom did the dishes every day. I did manage to get them out to Wave Hill botanical garden on the hottest muggiest day of the year. This only cemented their dedication to staying in the house and helping me with projects here. Pretty much my evil plan worked out perfectly.

While my parents were here we drove to Boston with them to visit my brother who recently relocated from France.  There is a certain magic that happens when you play with cousins. {note the two goons running around with soda boxes on their heads. Claire insisted on saving hers}.  We were there over the 4th of July and you'll note that the only pics I have are at the hotel. That's because it was a torrential downpour. Thank goodness for the hotel pool

And this week we went to the Hamptons with a friend from high school who owns a house with a pool there.  It was heavenly and we are so grateful to Mat for inviting us

Claire and I went to a Jackson pollock art class and I have to tell you I'm considering taking up drip painting.

And here are some random pictures from around the house and city.
